From the first website to four years of collaboration

"Baasjes Weten Waarom" was one of my very first web design projects. I developed the entire website for dog trainer Marina Van Evercoren: from the design and copy to the selection of images. Four years later, we’re still working together, and I help her whenever her website or business needs it.

What was
going on.

When I had just started out myself, a family member saw on Facebook that Marina was looking for someone to build her website.

I replied, stopped by to see her, and we hit it off right away.

Marina wanted to promote her dog coaching business, "Baasjes Weten Waarom," online, and needed a website that clearly explained who she is, what she does, and how she works with dogs and their owners.

The problem

Where things

got stuck.

Marina needed a comprehensive online platform for "Baasjes Weten Waarom.".

It wasn't just a matter of building a website. The design, text, and visuals also had to come together to form a cohesive whole.

She was looking for someone who could work out all the details and would remain available afterward in case anything needed to be adjusted or added.

My Role

I developed the "Baasjes Weten Waarom" website from start to finish.

I was responsible for the web design, wrote the copy, and selected the images for the website. I then developed everything into the final website.

My role didn't end with the handover. Marina is still a client, and I help her whenever changes are needed or whenever she needs support.

Over the years, that collaboration has also expanded beyond just its website.

What I Built
or configured.

I designed and built the website for Baasjes Weten Waarom and also helped develop the content.

The structure, design, text, and photos were considered as a whole, so Marina didn't have to piece together all the separate parts herself.

After the launch, I continued to provide support and make adjustments as needed.

Important Decisions

Since Marina didn't have a fully developed website yet, I was able to help shape the big picture from the very beginning.

Not only what the website should look like, but also what information it should include, how we would present that information, and what visual elements would complement it.

The collaboration has continued intentionally ever since. For me, a website doesn't have to be the end of a project: if Marina needs anything in the future, she can always count on me.

Four years later, Marina is still a customer.

What
Changed

Baasjes Weten Waarom launched its own website, which allowed Marina to promote her dog coaching services online.

What started as one of my first web design projects has grown into a collaboration that has now been going on for four years. I continue to support Marina with her website and also lend a hand in other areas whenever we can help each other.

The website was not the end of the project, but rather the beginning of a long-term partnership.

You don't need to know what the technical solution should be. Just tell me what's happening today, where things are getting stuck, and where you're losing time.
